Landfill Services

Jettison Environmental owns and operates a C&D* landfill to serve the River Region community and businesses. We provide well-engineered and managed facilities for non-hazardous solid construction waste proper disposal. Our Landfill is monitored to ensure compliance with EPA and federal regulations. These monitoring systems check for signs of groundwater contamination and landfill gas, meeting the stringent design, operation, and closure requirements established under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA).

We are regulated under RCRA Subtitles C&D.

Saturday:
8 AM – 2 PM

As a C&D Landfill General Items not accepted (but not limited to):
  • Food waste or containers: drink bottles or cans lunch plates or sacks.
  • Household trash
  • Liquids of any kind
  • White goods: refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, etc.

 

No hazardous materials are allowed including (but not limited to):

  • Tires
  • Paint, Paint thinners, adhesive, etc.
  • Batteries
  • ADEM regulated non-hazardous waste streams.

 

**Subtitle C&D: Construction and Demolition (C&D) Debris Landfill – A type of industrial waste landfill designed exclusively for construction and demolition materials, which consists of the debris generated during the construction, renovation, and demolition of buildings, roads, and bridges. C&D materials often contain bulky, heavy materials, such as concrete, wood, metals, glass, and salvaged building components.
